5 days.

So in *less than* 5 days now I'll be a new mom to a precious baby girl named Madison. :)

It still freaks me out sometimes...sometimes I think "man I wish Thursday would get here so I can see her and hold her!" and sometimes I think "OMG I'M HAVING A BABY AND I'M NOT READY!!". :)  It's weird to think "ok, next week at this time she'll be here"...whereas we used to say "ok, next month at this time she'll be here". :)

I spent most of my week of bed rest reading, writing thank you notes and relaxing (after recovering from the stomach flu episode!)...watching soap operas (it's amazing how you can get right back into one even after not watching it for years) and the Casey Anthony trial coverage.  Got way too into that!  I must say that it has been easier for me than I thought it woudl be to just let go of work...I put my "I'm on maternity leave" voice mail and out-of-office email response the first day of bed rest and I've been pretty good about not worrying about work.  Pretty good.  I did have a couple days this week where I let emails get to me and I got a little stressed out...but I plan to check it less and less as we get closer to Thursday.  Promise. :)

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday - but it was just another non-stress test and BP check with the NP.  All looks good - she said the baby looks "beautiful" in there!  BP was still a little high (164/84 - but I had just checked work email - sorry!) and they wanted me to chill out a bit so they could check it again.  They finally let me go - but I have to go back again on Wednesday for another BP check.  Seems kind of silly to me - since my c-section is scheduled for Thursday...but ok!  I'll be there!  We'll get to see Dr. Perkins Wednesday too - since he was out on vacation this week.

I guess Jon and Alex are getting a little more excited about the baby...although Alex wanted to know two things - 1) when we go to the hospital, do we have to watch it come out of her stomach and 2) can we trade her for Jon? :)

I am feeling H-U-G-E these days...like it's hard to even walk around. Or breathe. :) I swear this kid has to be 10lbs. by now - easily.  Thank heaven for c-sections - that's all I'm saying!

This is what I do - a lot.
I was cleaning out the fridge.
And no, I'm not working at Noble Roman's now.
This is one of my fave old shirts from my brother's place. :)

FIVE DAYS!! :)
