One year ago....

One year ago at this *very* moment....I was completely in giddy shock. :)  It was a Friday night just like tonight - and I had worked late because my group in-house had a reception.  I wasn't feeling so well - lightheaded, nauseous, just tired!  So - when I got home...we took the pregnancy test that we had bought just in case. And it was *positive*. :)   We were in utter and complete shock - seriously.  Even though we had been trying and had hoped for the past 6 months that this day would come...we were in shock.  We were going to have a baby!  I was pregnant. With child. Having a baby. PREGNANT!  Holy cow.  I think I actually had to lay down for a little bit (after I called my mom of course).  In the meantime, Derrick (being the awesome husband that he is) drove to Meijer  (at like 8pm) to buy me pregnancy books -because really...how could I go another second not knowing exactly what I needed to be doing?! :)  I don't think I slept one wink that night.  It's funny to think back now to how my life has completely changed in one year - and in such a good way.  I love my Maddie Moo - and can't remember what my life was like without her (oh yeah - I slept more...I do remember that part. :))
