Happy 1st Halloween, Maddie!

Today I had my first "Maddie Monday". :)  Since I'll be working 3 out of the 4 weekends in November, I already ok'd with my boss to take off the following Monday so 1) mom can have a break from babysitting and do her exercise class with Sally and 2) I can spend time with Maddie Moo since I'll miss spending time with her over the weekend when I work! :)

So today we got up at 5:30am...that's her new thing.  She can't sleep until 6am (when the alarm goes off) - 5:30am.  We try to "shush" her for at least 30 more short minutes...but no deal. She's ready to get up!   She did got back to sleep (in my arms) for an hour or so.  (I had to laugh as I re-read that...we're just blessed she sleeps ALL NIGHT!  I don't know why I'm complaining about her waking up at 5:30am!)  We actually ran some errands today - back to the costume store to get the mask for Alex's costume, Qdoba for lunch and Target!  She was pretty good in Target..until the end when I was standing in line. Then I had to *hold* her while trying to get the stuff on the checkout line. :)  Nah, she's not spoiled one bit!

I put her halloween tutu on this afternoon and took some pictures...we tried to do a few outside but as you'll see from the look on her face - she was having no part of it.  She has this new thing...where she is 'talking' to you - but it's more of a scream/squeal/screech. :)  It's really pretty funny!  I really haven't seen her do that before!  She'll go on and on (in screeches) and keep talking to you!  *See video!*

We had a pretty good mommy/maddie day - so look forward to the next 3! :)  And I really look forward to next year - when she can go trick-or-treating as well!  It's hard to imagine what she'll be like then - but I look forward to seeing it! :)   Happy Halloween Everyone!
